The consents forms are signed by our actors to grant us permission to hold and produce footage with them in it that we have shot. If this was not done then we would not have copy write of the footage and would be unable to use it as we filmed without their consent which can cause a legal and ethical issue within the production of Strayed Above.

Legal and Ethical issues
Legal: A legal issues that may be an issues towards the production of Strayed Above will be the music if we use music that is royalty free and steal the music and use it within our production we our not following copyright laws and can get in trouble. 

Another legal issue is getting permission from our actors. If we do not grant permission from the actors we have film we do not hold the copy write to the material. If used without permission we can get in legal trouble as we can get sued from filming without consent.

Ethical: Potential harm to cast and crew is an ethical issues as we do not want our crew and cast to be injured  this is because our production can be delayed because of this.

Since Abu Taher  who plays Kyle Black is a muslim using gelatine will go against his beliefs and morals as it contains pork within the gelatine if used this can be a big ethical issues.

The marketing of Stayed above will include the opening sequence of the show as mentioned in the brief this will be displayed on adverts on the BBC 3 platform as trailers or short snippets or scene from the show saying Strayed Above coming soon. This will also be on other social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube this will entice the audience and will make them go onto the BBC 3 platform and search and watch the show. This will be done by placing the opening sequence onto twitter and youtube and this will allow viewers to share the content to others thus gaining attraction. How meaning is created in Strayed Above The final media product is in line with client brief due to the visual and special effects. The visual effects applied which include creating a mask path around screens , windows as well as compositing footage to fit within a certain scale. The visual effects show the damage of the  infrastructure to the spaceship as the screens in the spaceship go dark or down meaning the signal has been lost or damaged as before it was working fine before the explosion. The special effects makeup used within the teaser scene as well show how the explosion of the ship has affected crew members such as Kyle Black and in which shows how life is on board the spaceship as communication systems have stopped working and the crew have taken damage. Unit 3 -M2

Resolving Legal and Ethical issues When creating this product legal and ethical issues have to be considered for. Such as the music for the show we cannot take a music track which is not royalty free as this is illegal. This will cause complications for the product which might halt the time of production and also might not be able to even screen the show if copyrighted music is heard without the use of a license. The plot and the story of the show can’t be taken from another SCI-FI show as well as this will be just copying ideas and would be stealing another IP’s content for our gain so we should be able to research and create our own ideas for the show while including the brief which was given towards us.
