Production materials for Strayed Above

A photo a me filming a scene for the opening sequence where I had to film the ceiling while moving on a chair.

A photo of me capturing shots of our spaceship model to use in after effects later on.

A photo of me using a camera to capture a shot.

Here are photos of me filming certain scenes for our final product. The first picture on the left is a photo of me using a chair for a tracking/dolly shot of the celling for our opening sequence. I had to move slowly to get the shot of the celling moving in a straight line as this is in the storyboard a tracking dolly shot is mentioned and to avoid the of damage equipment or bumping into stuff a spotter who was in front of me watching out for me and steering me in the right direction to get the shot.

In the middle is a shot of me capturing some shots of the spaceship for it to be keyed out for the final product. The stool was green and also the wall behind the stool. To make the background is visible so the keying process would be easier. We followed our sketch panels and placed the products safely down and kept an eye on each other to avoid the sharp and jagged area of the ship cutting us.

The third photo is me using the after effects software to apply my visual effects to the footage we shot earlier.

The 4th photo is me filming Abu Taher character Kyle black for a reference on how Captain Crain shot should look like when it should be filmed and setting up the shot or showcasing how it should look like when filmed. This was done to save time for my shot as I was the director of this shot the floor was checked for trip hazards so the crew and actors can not injure themselves as well as the damaging  if the equipment.

The music was sourced from free-stock-music.com. This music gave a good Sci-fi feel to the teaser scene. It has a futuristic vibe and when was edited together fit well with the product. The music is also royalty free along as we give credit to the original creator of the music. If the music was not copyright free and used without permission this could affect the production as we are stealing someone work for our own. Finding the music was a tough challenge as many music tracks when searching didn’t have the right feel towards our story.

Below is a video evidence on a piece of footage we filmed and a rushes of shot within the final product.
